Recent Presentation on Town Website

We are concerned to learn that a competing website recently held a presentation (albeit poorly attended) to launch a new town website called All The Little Shops, a project which is due to receive start-up funding from Sainsbury who are looking to open a development in Saffron Walden.
What has caused considerable concern is that leaflets were distributed at this meeting showing how the website would look with saffronshops.com branding.
Whilst Sainsbury approached us for us to consider this as a branding option, we were assured by the Sainsbury officials with whom we met, that this would not be distributed publically.
Since we have decided not to pursue this as an option, we are concerned that we have been associated with this venture and would like to categorically state that we have no connection with Sainsbury or All The Little Shops and believe that a free website based business directory is the right way to publicise the businesses of Saffron Walden and that saffronshops.com in its current form adequately provides this.
