A little about Burtons Butchers.
Burtons is a traditional family-run butcher that has been serving Saffron Walden for nearly 70 years. You'll find the shop in a distinctive white and blue fronted Grade II listed building on the corner of King Street and Market Passage, just a few feet from the Market Square.
Step inside and you'll see a wide range of fresh cuts displayed in chilled counters, along with poultry, seasonal game and the shop's own award-winning sausages. Wherever possible, meat is locally sourced from farms with high standards of animal welfare, offering quality you won't find in the supermarket.
The team of highly skilled butchers is always happy to help, whether you need advice on the best joint for a party, the right cut of beef for dinner or tips on getting the most flavour from your meat. As well as serving shoppers in town, Burtons supplies more than 300 restaurants, hotels, pubs and venues across East Anglia from its facility at Shire Hill.
