A little about Cafe Cornell.
Café Cornell is a not-for-profit community café based at Cornell Court on Smallbridge Road, run by Enterprise East Group CIC as a work-based training academy. Students gain hands-on skills in a fully working café, building confidence and practical experience that go far beyond the classroom. The café welcomes residents of Cornell Court and members of the public alike.
The menu offers hot and cold meals at lunchtime, along with coffee, drinks and delicious cakes. Visitors regularly praise the warm welcome, attentive service and excellent value, with many describing it as much more than just a café.
Café Cornell is also at the heart of the local community. It runs #LetsEatTogether community meals, including a free Christmas Day dinner for anyone who would otherwise be alone, complete with music, presents and festive fun. It also hosts special events such as fundraising afternoon teas and festive lunches.
Every visit helps support the café's training academy and its work in the community.
