A little about Game On Toymaster.
Game On first opened on Church Street in November 1997, before moving to larger premises on the High Street in 2000 to make room for a bigger range. It joined the Toymaster group in 2009 and is now known as Game On Toymaster.
Video games remain a speciality, with new and pre-owned titles for Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, right back to retro consoles from the 1990s. There's a pre-order and reservation service too, and the team can often track down hard-to-find titles.
Alongside the games, the shop stocks most major toy brands, including LEGO, Playmobil, Sylvanian Families, TOPModel and Airfix, plus remote control cars, jigsaws and a wide selection of board games. Fans of tabletop and card games will find Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Lorcana and Dungeons & Dragons, as well as the Games Workshop range of miniatures and accessories.
Game On is also a real hub for local gamers, with regular in-store gaming sessions where players can learn to play and paint their models in a safe, friendly environment, along with card game tournaments.
