A little about The Golden Butterfly.
The Golden Butterfly is one of Saffron Walden's longest-established shops, trading in the town for more than a century. It's one of the few shops to have kept its traditional character over the years, and a visit feels like stepping back in time.
The shelves are lined with over 200 traditional sweets, many served from classic jars, alongside Belgian chocolates and specialist chocolates, including dairy-free and lactose-free options. It's a lovely place to pick up a nostalgic treat, a gift for a sweet tooth or a selection of favourites from childhood.
The shop also stocks a range of walking sticks and watches, and is a traditional tobacconist. You'll find it on Market Street, just off the Market Square.
