Monty's is a family-run café and bistro with a charming vintage tea room feel, tucked away on Cross Street in the centre of Saffron Walden.
The day starts with breakfasts and good coffee, and moves on to lunches such as generously filled jacket potatoes, with a bottomless pot of tea if you fancy lingering. Later in the day, it's a lovely spot to relax with a glass of wine in the sunshine, and there's a tapas menu to try too.
Dogs are made very welcome, and it's a handy place to stop for a break while exploring the town.
