A little about Vennings Cafe at The Railway Arms.
Venning's Café opened its doors July 2026, following months of careful restoration of the historic coach house and stable block beside The Railway Arms on Station Road.
The café is part of the continuing success story of The Railway Arms, which was saved from redevelopment by local residents and became Saffron Walden's first community-owned pub in 2020. The café was created as a direct result of that community support, and it brings a relaxed daytime spot to the site alongside the pub itself.
Whether you're meeting friends, taking a break from a walk around town or looking for somewhere welcoming to sit with a hot drink, Venning's is well worth a visit. There's plenty of outdoor space too, with the pub's large beer garden and courtyard right next door.
